“I like to work on details, which often take on a life of their own in the depiction of their structures. Viewers often find their own pictorial worlds in my works. This phenomenon called pareidolia fascinates me.”
I started drawing everything I saw very early on. In my West Berlin childhood, the backs of old office notes became my medium until I got through to better material. While still at school, I was accepted at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design, where I studied after graduating from high school, but then moved on to do a degree in Graphic Design in Southampton. After living in London, Berlin, Munich and Ingolstadt, I moved to Wolfsburg with my family. My exhibitions have taken me to Celle, Braunschweig, Berlin and Bielsko-Biella. I received the arti, was nominated for an art prize and moved into my studio at Neuhaus Castle. The municipal collection acquired one of my works. I started teaching art at a grammar school
in Wolfsburg as a sideline.
Very fine surface structures, delicate shades of color and an almost magical light.
